- Is Voice Recorder — Novaz free?
- Yes. Recording, playback, trimming, cutting, tags, search, import and sharing are free, with no cap on length or number, and 30 minutes of transcription. PRO adds merging, compression, the full voice-changer set, enhanced noise reduction, background music and unlimited transcription.
- Can it record a phone call?
- No. iOS gives no app access to call audio, so no third-party recorder can — including this one. From iOS 18.1, Apple's own Phone app can record a call on supported devices, with an announcement to everyone on the line.
- How long can a recording be?
- As long as your free space allows. A take keeps running with the screen locked or another app open, and saves itself rather than failing if storage runs low.
- Does it export as MP3?
- No — iOS includes an MP3 decoder but no encoder, so recordings are M4A or WAV. MP3 files import and play normally.
- Are my recordings uploaded anywhere?
- No. There's no account and no server. The only audio that ever leaves your iPhone is a transcription request iOS sends to Apple when your device can't do the recognition itself.
- Which languages does it support?
- The app is in English and Vietnamese. Transcription works in whatever languages your iPhone's speech recognition supports.
